If you're going to do this, you should definitely check out Patrick Ness' Chaos Walking series (so far, The Knife of Never Letting Go and The Ask and the Answer). Really, really good. And of course, The Hunger Games is A-MAZING. Feed is really neat too, but takes some getting used to.
