Candlewick, TIME Magazine's Top 100 Picture Books of All Time, & a Giveaway!

TIME magazine recently compiled - with the assistance of industry experts, reviewers, and major literacy non-profits - two book lists to honor the all-time classics, both old and new. These Best Books of All Time lists cover Young Adult literature - though one could argue there's plenty of MG represented there too - and  Children's literature. Now, whether you agree with all of their picks or not, you have to admit that there are some fantastic titles on those lists. I'm a huge fan of Candlewick Press, so I was happy to see that many Candlewick titles made the lists.

Included on the YA list: M.T. Anderson's Feed, Kate Dicamillo's The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and Tiger Rising, Patrick Ness's A Monster Calls and The Knife of Never Letting Go, and Cecil Castellucci's Boy Proof. I adore these books, but I was especially happy to see Boy Proof on this list because it's rare that I hear it mentioned and it deserves to be talked about.

Included on the Children's list: Jon Klassen's I Want My Hat Back, Aaron Becker's Journey, Michelle Knudsen & Kevin Hawkes' Library Lion, and Michael Rosen & Helen Oxenbury's We're Going on a Bear Hunt. Do I even have to comment on these choices? It's obvious why they deserve a spot on the list.

To celebrate the TIME's inclusion of these Children's titles, Candlewick is offering one lucky reader at The Hiding Spot a chance to win all 4 titles: I Want My Hat Back, Journey, Library Lion, and We're Going on a Bear Hunt! For your chance to win, simply enter your information into the Rafflecopter below!
