ReplyDeleteGood choice!! :)
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to Win 'Half Bad' and 'To All the boys I've loved before'
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to blogging!
Honestly....I'd be happy with any of them! Free books! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've read this author before and I really enjoyed the setting, but the characters didn't work for me either. It's really disappointing to hear that was the case here. However, I enjoyed her writing enough to give this one a chance. Sounds promising.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to win "To All The Boys I've Loved Before and Elusion! :D Thank you for having this giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteElusion & Half Bad for me! :D
ReplyDeleteMy Last Kiss and Elusion :D probably!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like these characters more than I did! And I completely agree with you; Templeman's writing makes her books worth reading, even if her characters are off-putting!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Aneta! I hope you end up liking the characters when you read THE GLASS CASKET! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope to win Elusion and The Nethergrim!
ReplyDeleteHalf Bad and Elusion!
ReplyDeleteI will be hard to choose 2! Kinda hope I'm second to win so I only have 6 to pick from! hahaha
ReplyDeleteI love horror and mystery and haven't read this author before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your review. I'm glad to hear that the story and the mystery within it were good. I'll give the characters a try, thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteSo many good choices! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
Great review, sometimes mixed feelings continue to well and I like that. Makes you think about the book for a while!
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
Welcome back! I am dying to read My Last Kiss and All the Boys I've loved before!
ReplyDeleteKiller Instinct. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThe fairy tale elements of this book reminded me of the original Grimm's Fairy Tales... scary! I like this kind of horror. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you end up liking them more than I did! It seems many readers weren't as bothered by them as I was. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's definitely true, Missie! Even though I didn't love the characters, I doubt I'll forget about this book any time soon!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this book. It sounds very good. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed The Little Woods, so I'm excited to read this too! (especially considering my love of fairy tales). It's too bad you didn't connect with any of the characters, but honestly that's not too much of a dealbreaker for me in books where lots of characters die :P
ReplyDeleteIt's always disappointing not to connect with the characters. I'm a character-driven reader, so even if the plot is great, I need the characters to cooperate.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a bummer when I can't connect to the characters in a book, but I still want to give this a try. Maybe I'll have better luck with it! :)
