Returning to Blogger Appreciation GIVEAWAY!

To celebrate my return to The Hiding Spot on Blogger (after a short banishment to Wordpress when my RSS feed was down), I'm hosting a giveaway for some of the great upcoming Spring releases that I've got piling up on my bookshelves!

I admit, this giveaway is, in part to lure my Wordpress followers to this blog, but it's also because 1) I like sharing and 2) I've got some doubles that I know you're all dying to read!

There will be 4 winners. Each winner will choose 2 books each. The 1st winner drawn will select 2 from all 8 books. This person will obviously get their first choose of books. The 2nd winner will select 2 books from the remaining 6 books. The 3rd winner will select 2 books from the remaining 4 books. The 4th winner will receive the remaining two books!

Books up for grabs:

My Last Kiss by Bethany Neal (Macmillan)
This Side of Salvation by Jeri Smith-Ready (Simon & Schuster)
Half Bad by Sally Green (Penguin)
To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han (Simon & Schuster)
Elusion by Claudia Gabel & Cheryl Klam (HarperCollins)
The Nethergrim by Matthew Jobin (Penguin)
Mouseheart by Lisa Fiedler (Simon & Schuster)

  9. I've read this author before and I really enjoyed the setting, but the characters didn't work for me either. It's really disappointing to hear that was the case here. However, I enjoyed her writing enough to give this one a chance. Sounds promising.

  12. I hope you like these characters more than I did! And I completely agree with you; Templeman's writing makes her books worth reading, even if her characters are off-putting!

  13. Thanks, Aneta! I hope you end up liking the characters when you read THE GLASS CASKET! :)

  22. The fairy tale elements of this book reminded me of the original Grimm's Fairy Tales... scary! I like this kind of horror. :)

  23. I hope you end up liking them more than I did! It seems many readers weren't as bothered by them as I was. :)

  24. That's definitely true, Missie! Even though I didn't love the characters, I doubt I'll forget about this book any time soon!!

  25. I would love to read this book. It sounds very good. Thanks for the giveaway.

  26. I really enjoyed The Little Woods, so I'm excited to read this too! (especially considering my love of fairy tales). It's too bad you didn't connect with any of the characters, but honestly that's not too much of a dealbreaker for me in books where lots of characters die :P

  27. It's always disappointing not to connect with the characters. I'm a character-driven reader, so even if the plot is great, I need the characters to cooperate.

  28. It's such a bummer when I can't connect to the characters in a book, but I still want to give this a try. Maybe I'll have better luck with it! :)
