I saw this cover and couldn't help but say WOW. Literally. It's different than anything I've seen lately... And I love that birdcage. I don't know if the bird has anything to do with the actual story, I mean, I hope it does, but I love it so much that I don't even really care. I also like the circles; they appear to be pointing out specific parts of the cover. It's intriguing...
And, seriously, read that description. I like!
Sounds awesome! I really like the cover too, although I'm not a huge fan of the circles.

ReplyDeleteIt is an incredible description. And I agree that the circles on the cover make the trapped-in-a-cage imagery a little too obvious . . . except that I would have taken the bird literally instead of seeing as a symbol without the circles. LOL!
Is anyone else reminded of Margaret Atwood's Handmaid's Tail Some dystopias are all about the population, and those are the ones in which girls are in most trouble.

ReplyDeleteThat cover is gorgeous! It's certainly different, with the dark blue, lilac/pink, and mint green colours and the... circles and lines for lack of a better term.

I usually don't like covers with models on them but this one is fascinating! I bet that the circled objects are the things that are part of the story. And, honestly - that synopsis sounds amazing!

The cove is almost surreal. The storyline has a Blade Runner theme. Added to my list.
