Contest: Win a copy of The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May, and June!

I was lucky enough to receive not one, but two arcs of THE EXTRAORDINARY SECRETS OF APRIL, MAY, AND JUNE. One copy is signed to me, but the other is waiting to be read by YOU!

Description (from GoodReads):
Three sisters, three extraordinary, life-changing powers!

I hugged my sisters and they fit against my sides like two jigsaw pieces that would never fit anywhere else. I couldn’t imagine ever letting them go again, like releasing them would be to surrender the best parts of myself.
Three sisters share a magical, unshakeable bond in this witty high-concept novel from the critically acclaimed author of Audrey, Wait! Around the time of their parents’ divorce, sisters April, May, and June recover special powers from childhood—powers that come in handy navigating the hell that is high school. Powers that help them cope with the hardest year of their lives. But could they have a greater purpose?
April, the oldest and a bit of a worrier, can see the future. Middle-child May can literally disappear. And baby June reads minds—everyone’s but her own. When April gets a vision of disaster, the girls come together to save the day and reconcile their strained family. They realize that no matter what happens, powers or no powers, they’ll always have each other.
Because there’s one thing stronger than magic: sisterhood.

  1. Sounds like a great book. Sometimes its hard to play favorites. I think especially with the first child you have. Sometimes I think the first child is always your favorite. Please enter me in contest. Tore923@aol.com

  2. Oh... my power? I have no idea. Weird words? Or, actually, I am a bit of a worrier, but I think seeing the future would only stress me more, so that's probably not how the power would develop. Maybe the ability to change things - even little things - after/as they're happening. (Like I have a 5 minute window in which I can make small changes - word choice, leaving on time, things like that)... I think that would be awesome. ; )

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  3. PS I'm a twitter follower of both you & Robin, but it's a radio button (not a check box) so I could only mark one on the form. I went ahead & added in the points, I hope that's okay. : )

  4. Great giveaway!!!! I would like to have the power to be invisible, I think this would be very useful! LOL or maybe being able to read minds, this is kind of amazing huh?
    Thanks!

  5. I am a big worrier. I'm constantly worrying about whether I offended a person, hurt them, did something wrong, should or shouldn't say something that it actually stops me from doing things. I really worry about what people think about me-I want them to like me. So my extraordinary power would be protecting people from being hurt, hopefully even stopping myself from being hurt.

  6. The only power I've ever wanted is invisibility. Endless possibilities!

    ReplyDelete
  7. The power of flight. It'd reduce my carbon footprint and allow me to travel more. I'm not looking to save the world, just some gas money!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thanks. :)
I can't wait to read this book!!

  9. I'd like to have the extraordinary power to cure mental health problems. Not control people's mind, but ease them back to normal.

But if I could only have a power that effects only me, then I would like the power to download skills and knowledge like in the Matrix!

  10. If I could have an extrordinary power, I would like to be able to be in two places at once.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think it'd be cool to be able to transport in an instant. Like just pop to Paris, New York City or just to the store really quick. It'd make traveling cheap! :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think I'd like my power to be able to breathe underwater. I can feel like a mermaid then :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. I would love to be able to read minds. It would so amazing if I just know what the other person is thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Not really creative but being able to fly (or transport) would be totally cool. Go anywhere you want, whenever you want.

  15. Thank you for the nice giveaway! If I could have a super power, I think I'd have to go with being able to walk on water. I'd love to take a stroll upon the Pacific Ocean.

  16. I met Robin at the LA Times Festival of Books and she inspired me so much. I absolutely loved Audrey, Wait! and have been waiting with eager anticipation to read her next novel.

  17. People always ask this question I never know what to answer because is so hard I think that's why superheroes never see it coming because if they did it will be disastrous. Plus if they ask you, you start thinking about all the reasons why that power would suck,I would have to go with seeing the future which was my original answer before I thought it a bad idea.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I would want to see the future :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. The super power I would want is to be able to control time. Sometimes there aren't enough hours in the day and sometimes it takes forever, being able to control this would be great

  20. The Only power I would like to have is the power to protect my girfriend of anything and anyone, and of course the power to control the elements XD gg ^^

  21. This book sounds great! Thanks for the contest. :)

If I could have one of those extraordinary powers, I'd have to go with invisibility -- partly cuz I'm so introverted I'd like to disappear sometimes, and partly cuz it would let me enjoy shenanigans without all those pesky consequences arising from people knowing it was me. Heh.

    ReplyDelete
  22. An extraordinary power I wish I had would be invisibility! I seriously wish I could be invisible at times. I could get away with so many things! HAH!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think I'd like to read minds. It'd be pretty cool, heh heh... ;D

    ReplyDelete
  24. If I could have one power it would be teleportation! To be able to just travel anywhere anytime in the blink of an eye...that would be the absolute best!

    ReplyDelete
  25. An awesome power would be to have would be control over the four elements. Great contest! :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. My superpower... it would definitely be teleportation (in a way that I could teleport myself also back into the history). It would be amazing just to go places in a instant.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Maybe the safest power to have would be telekenesis. I would love to be able to move to anywhere in the world at a snap of my fingers. !

  29. Tough question, but I think moe than anything I'd like to be able to convince people of things. Like to agree with me or what to do. If you haven't figured it out, I always think I'm right-- because i usually am!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wow, tough question. It's not really a super power but I would like to have 2 brains and 6 hands. haha then I could be supermom!

  31. my super power would probably be the ability to read other peoples minds! but often people tell me theres a reason why God didn't make people mind readers, i guess thats understandable. haha.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I would love to read really fast! That way, I can get finished will a whole bunch of books!

    ReplyDelete
  34. My pick of an "extraordinary power" would be between being able to fly or to be invisible. Although, either one would probably lead me into trouble.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  35. Fire. I'm all about the fire. I would heart being pyrokinetic more than anything else.

    ReplyDelete
  36. My power would be telekinesis. I'd love to ba able to move things around the room without having to get up and do it lol.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hello! What a thinker! I want way too many powers! Can my power be to have lots of powers??? =P if so, I would love to read minds, see the future, move objects with my mind and teleportation! If I can't have them all, I would have to choose teleporation! Why? Well, I'm always late to every place I go! Also, because one of my best friends lives abroad (and the love of my life, too) and last but not least, because I LOVE traveling and it would be a cheap way to do it! =D

    ReplyDelete
  38. Reading minds sounds cool but I've always thought it would ruin the element of surprise :P so the power I'd like to have would be interpreting people! Being able to really read their expressions and body language. Cool huh?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would love to be a healer. I never wanted to be a doctor but I hate it when people are sick or in pain.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I wouldn't mind instant transportation... like... I think of a place I want to be, and I'm there. Would be awesome, I could go on an OE and visit France and Russia and Venice and whatnot and then go to sleep in my own bed every night... etc. (Although I probably wouldn't, staying in crappy bedpackers etc is half the fun of it, but still. I would safe a lot on travel costs though!)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't know if this would be extraordinary, but I think the one power I would love to have more than anything is the power of being compelling with words. I don't mean written words, because I'm perfectly fine writing compelling and interesting bits of stories, but when it comes to real life... I fall flat. I just suck when it comes to saying the right thing and getting people to believe me when others are telling blatant lies.

What I would probably have is something like shooting laser beams out of my eyes or something... just as unhelpful.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think I would like the power to teleport. I would go anywhere I wanted at the drop of a dime

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'd like to have teleportation or the ability to shape shift. Either of those would be cool!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Telekinesis, teleportation, and flying! (I'm greedy D: )

Honestly, when I read the question.. I keep thinking of magic like Harry Potter, wizard :D I prefer that, heh :D

    ReplyDelete
  45. My power would be flying. I've always wanted to be able to fly.

    ReplyDelete
  46. My super power would have to be teleportation cos I'd love to get anywhere I want to in a jiffy!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'd want my super power to be teleportation. I could pop over and visit anyone, anytime, which would be nice since I currently live 5,000 miles from my entire family!

    ReplyDelete
  48. My power would be the ability to make people happy :D

    ReplyDelete
  49. Well, I guess I wanted to disappear, or fly, or turn back in time, or... I think it's enough... =D

    ReplyDelete
  50. Okay, I'll just come out and admit that I'm a Doctor Who fan. So rather than simply being able to travel through time, I'd love to have all of his fun gadgets like the sonic screwdriver and stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'm not exactly sure what power I would want. It's a tie between super strength and reading peoples minds....

    ReplyDelete
  57. I would loooove to have the power to walk through walls. Just because I am so lazy that getting to my classes would be made so much simpler without door opening.
