ReplyDeletei have a lot of favorites, but of all the books i read this year i'd have to say i liked the sky is everywhere by jandy nelson the most. everything was perfect for me, and i liked how the character of lennie started out lonely and confused, and eventually found happiness. the novel really stuck to me, and it was an all-around outstanding read :)
I'd like to say that Sarah Dessen had always stuck with me. I think theres something about the way she writes that never seems to bored or annoy me!

Urgh, I hate picking favorites. But I guess I'd have to say that Hate List by Jennifer Brown is probably one of my top favorites. It really impressed me and made my top ten, I think.

Ummm... I might be a bit biased here seeing as this was the book that introduced me to YA lit but, you can't take away its brilliant-ness *is that even a word?* I'd have to say one of my fave books is Beautiful Creatures =)
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite would be a tie between Laurie Halse Anderson and Sarah Dessen. Both of which are totally amazing authors and I love them for totally different reasons, but either way, total <3
ReplyDeleteI just put a whole page together for recommendations - several books that come to mind are - The Light of Asteria, Seers of Light, Fallen, The Pace - there's so many! But...if I had to pick my all time fav. thats changed me as a person I would say The Light of Asteria! :)

ReplyDeleteHmm one of my favorite books that I recently read... I'd probably go with Hourglass by Claudia Gray. I just finished it yesterday and loved it. I definitely recommend the Evernight series.
I think my favorite book of all time is the stand by stephen king. Not all of his books are that great, but that one really fit me.

I don't know if they fit me perfectly as a reader, but I've noticed I have quite a few novels by Joyce Carol Oates. I liked them all. The last book I enjoyed the most lately was The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters.
ReplyDeleteI love Sarah Dessen books. I have read every book by her and loved them all. My all-time favorite read was Going too Far by Jennifer Echols. I pretty much think that she could write on a tissue and it would be amazing :)
ReplyDeleteI have SO MANY favorite books, but the ones I keep returning to make me feel such deep feelings, like Jane Eyre and The Thornbirds, and inspire me to want more, to have adventure, and to LIVE, like anything written by Tamora Pierce.
